Ceremony & Ritual
Sacred space to reconnect
with yourself, with community, with life and with what matters
Ceremony & Ritual
are how we remember who we are and what matters to us
Ceremony is sacred space, an invitation to show up with and for ourselves and for life, to quieten our busy minds and slow down enough to hear the messages underneath the noise of the every day busyness.
It offers a structure and holding for sensing into, expressing, praying for and receiving guidance through all our different ways of knowing. We remember and lean into the support of the many dimensions of relationship, be it the elements within and around us, the web of life and the many other beings with whom we share this Earth, the intelligence of our bodies, hearts and our imagination, as well as our ancestors and descendants and our relationship to the Sacred, whatever name we have for it.
Remembering and emboding our connectedness and putting our breath, attention and intention behind our movement, our prayers, our longings and our gratitudes, we find new perspectives, courage, creative responses to the challenges and opportunities that life presents us with.
Join us in sacred space
These are some of the recurring rituals and ceremonies in the Being of the Earth calendar. Please sign up to the mailing list to find out about other events.

End of Year Ritual
An opportunity to reflect and make meaning from what's been and create a good foundation for what's next. We use movement and embodied ritual to find the learning in the experiences of the past year and make good compost for the seeds of intention we wish to plant.

Earth Day Ceremony
An invitation to dance ourselves deep into our earth bodies, to give thanks, and connect with our care for the world, to honour our pain and to find the resources and inspiration, in ourselves and with each other, for meaningful ways for each of us to make our contribution to a more beautiful thriving world for all.
You are welcome as you are.
Ceremony and ritual are part of being human. They are a central part of all cultures and play a key role in our healing, meaningmaking and weathering the challenges of our times alongside others. You do not need any prior knowledge or experience, nor do you need to subscribe to a set of specific beliefs to engage in the ceremonies and rituals on offer here at Being of the Earth. You are always invited to bring along and include whatever supports you (your beliefs, practices and allies) and there is nothing you can get wrong. There is a place for you in the circle.
